Ed Slater Colour Fun Run

The Cheltenham Colour run will be held in aid of Gloucester Rugby player Ed Slater who has recently been diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND). With every Friday or weekend ticket sale we will be donating money to Ed and His Family, for more information please visit gloucesterrugby.co.uk/4ed. 

The Colour Fun Run is a chance for everyone to celebrate in true Cheltenham 7s style on Friday 21st July. The run will be fun, vibrant, joyful and crazy! It will start at 6:30pm and will be 5km around Newlands Park.

If you don’t know what a Colour Fun Run is… it’s simple… you run, walk, skip or jump your way around our 5 kilometre course where our volunteers, your supporters and fellow runners will be throwing coloured powders in the air for you to go through.

The only rule is to finish the run plastered in as much colour as possible! Once the run is over, you will have access to changing rooms and showers (or stay plastered in your colours for the festival). We’ve got huge music acts, fully stocked bars and food, so what are you waiting for?

COLOUR FUN RUN

Will there be a course map and medics on site? Yes there will be a running map, marshals and medics onsite.

Will the run be timed? There will be a running clock but no running chips or official timings recorded.

How do I register? Arrive a minimum of 1hr before the run and head to the Colour Fun Run check in tent to register.

What time will the run start? 6:30pm on 21st July, we advise you to get to the festival 1hr before to complete registration and collect your white T-Shirt.

What should I bring? We advise you to bring a white T-Shirt, shorts and footwear you are comfortable to run in. Keep in mind you will get colourful with your powder paint.

What do you mean 'first come, first served' on the T-Shirts? We only have a limited number of T-Shirts available to give away. Due to the number of people entering the Colour Fun Run, we advise you to arrive at the festival as early as possible and register at the check in point to avoid disappointment and miss out on a T-Shirt.

If I've already bought a weekend or Friday festival ticket can I take part and how much extra will I pay? Yes you can take part in the Colour Fun Run at no extra cost, just turn up on the Friday and register at the Colour Fun Run check in point. Registration closes 1hr before the Run starts (5.30pm)

How do I donate to Ed Slater (4ED). Purchase a Friday ticket or any weekend ticket and we will donate a % to 4ED from the ticket sale.

Where will I be able to get the colour pouches? We will be providing them at the event.

Will my Friday or Weekend ticket give me access to the Colour Fun Run? Yes this will automatically give you access to the Colour Fun Run on Friday. The run is optional for every festivalgoer or sports player.

Is colour powder safe? Our Color Dust is non-toxic, 100% safe and biodegradable. It is not meant for consumption, so you'll want to keep our color dust out of the eyes and lungs.

Are children allowed to take part in the run? Under 15’s are welcome to join in on the run with a 'Kids Colour Fun Run Weekend ticket'. Please be aware that all under 15’s must be accompanied by an adult at all times and during the Colour Fun Run, and we advise the youngsters to be off site by 7:30pm (Please be aware there are under 18s and under 15s terms and conditions) read terms here.
