TOURNAMENT STRUCTURE
Structure
Group Stages: 12 minute rolling halves. No Timeouts, Central Clock.
Quarter Finals: 15 minute rolling halves. No Timeouts, Central Clock
Semi-Finals: 20 minute rolling halves. 2 time-outs per team per half.
FINALS: 20 minute halves, 2 Minute Warning, 2 time-outs per team per half.
5v5 Mixed Flag Football Bracket
Day 1 – Friday 19th July
Group Stages (20 Teams). 4 divisions of 5 teams will complete a round robin (4 games per team) and the top two teams from each division will continue through to our Quarter Finals on Day 2. the third place teams will compete for a 5th and 7th place playoff.
Day 2 – Saturday 20th July
FINALS DAY. 5th place and 7th place playoffs, followed by Quarter finals, semi finals and finals to determine the 2024 FLAGAPALOOZA CHAMPIONS.

Tournament Day. 8 teams will be split into 2 divisions, where you shall each play three games to determine the 2 teams from each division that shall go to the semi-finals and Finals to be crowned the 2024 FLAGAPALOOZA CHAMPIONS.

How many players do we get to bring with team registration?
Team Registration is £150 and entitles you to bring up-to 7 players. IF you require additional players for your squad, they can purchase an additional player festival ticket at £39.99, and specify which roster they wish to be added to.
Can I come even if I'm just there to support my team and not play?
Absolutely! Just purchase a player ticket at £39.99 and this will grant you access to the whole festival, both days!
What do I get with team or player entry? Do I get to enjoy the whole festival?
YES! Whether you are part of your 7 player team registration or if you purchased your additional player entry separately, you get to enjoy all of the perks of the festival!
Live Music, Bars, Street Food, Entertainment, Stalls and of course, being able to watch all of the other sports on show! Join the Party alongside 8,000 other people!
Can we camp at the festival?
Camping can be purchased online at the team registration, under player extras. It costs £10 per player to pitch a tent at the festival.
Where can we stay if we don't want to camp?
If you do not wish to camp with the other thousands of festival goers, there are hotels closer to town centre. Closest hotels are The Rising Sun, Premier Inn and Ellenborough Park Hotel, but there are many other options you can find on booking.com/google/Airbnb.
How is the draw decided?
Once all team spots are filled, we will do a random live draw for each group on our FLAGAPALOOZA Instagram page.
What are the tournament rules?
A full team pack will be emailed to each registered team detailing the schedule for the day and the tournament rules. We follow IFAF, BAFA 5V5 Player Rules. The game clocks will vary at different stages of the tournament. Group stages, 12minute rolling halves. Finals clocks will change each time between QF (15mins rolling), SF(20 min rolling and time outs) and Finals (20min halves, 2min warning and timeouts).
Who will be Refereeing?
Flagapalooza will be providing 1 BAFRA/IFAF qualified head referee per-pitch, across the two days and they will also form the refereeing crew for the semi finals and finals. Each team will need to appoint 2 referees to support the head referees during the group stage, while their team is not competing. Any team who’s referees fail to perform their duties will forfeit a game automatically as penalty against their record.
What Equipment do we need to compete?
You will require your own balls (leather or composite full-size footballs for mixed league and youth-size leather or composite footballs for women’s brackets) and player flag belts. No metal studs are permitted and player equipment/clothing and roster checks will be completed by the refereeing committee at the start of the tournament for player safety and tournament fairness.
Do I need player insurance?
When you register as a team or player, you are agreeing that you are not covered by the tournament or festival for any injuries sustained playing sport. However if you wish to have your own player insurance, you are welcome to do so. It’s also worth checking with your NGB to see if you have insurance cover carry through them.
Is There First Aid on site?
Yes, the festival has a fully qualifies first aid crew, 4×4 and ambulance and defibrillator. There are also changing rooms and showers on site for players and teams
